Barbara Moran lives in Topeka, Kansas. She is fascinated with steam engines and is a fan of “Thomas the Tank Engine.” “I use real engines as models for my drawings. I call them ‘choo choos’. Topeka was once a hub for these engines. I would love to talk to folks about steam engines. I’ve loved them since I was 5 years old.” She liked traffic lights as a child and then as an adult in her 40’s—the traditional type, not the modern.
