Volunteers

You’ll be surprised to find that volunteering with Autism Rocks will bring you more than you give! Our programs depend on enthusiastic volunteers, with a healthy sense of whimsy while focused and committed to providing good quality service. You make us happen. We have several programs with volunteer opportunities.

Opportunities

Friends & Family Camp

This is the BEST!!
Parents and caregivers can bring their autistic loved ones and relax with them over the weekend, knowing that they are in a safe and nurturing environment. Tasks include plenty of kitchen duties, leading nature walks, helping with games and crafts, keeping a good vibe going, and looking after people.

Fundraising Assistant

The Fundraising/Event Management Assistant will work closely with key board members to manage donor databases. Assist with donor recognition and communication and fundraising campaigns. Help in the planning, implementation, and promotion of events.

Technology Assistant

Work closely with key board members to perform various tasks related to online security, installation of software, website and database updating, social media accounts, and general troubleshooting when problems occur.

Art Program

This program is presently stalled as our previous volunteer has stepped away. Can you help organize this program?

Help promote art created by autistic artists. Organize our gala opening to connect our artists with mentors and buyers. Staff the sales table during events, help market items at local stores, coordinate framing, schedule exhibitions, work with artists, and more.

Serve on Our Board

If you are a professional or have relevant skills to offer (grant writer, autism specialist, etc.) we would love your input and creativity on our Board of Directors  Terms are for 2 years. Board of Directors meetings occur monthly on the first Thursday of the month and are usually via Zoom.

Other Events & Fundraisers

We often need help with special events: setting up, working refreshments and more. We could use help with the website and graphic work. We hope to reach out to artists in the schools, with your help. Other opportunities often arise.
