2022 Year End President’s Message

Writer: admin221222admin221222

Another year is approaching with a new hope for a better future. We have fought the COVID-19 and continue to fight its variants. These will likely stay around, but now we know more about keeping ourselves and others safe and we have begun lifting those pandemic requirements. Vaccinations for those who can are still suggested, as is washing hands often, staying home when feeling ill, and masking in large gatherings.

This year KindTree hosted the first in person camp in three years and everyone had a blast.  In June, KindTree hosted the Festival of Art for All at the ARC Park and another show downtown to see during November 2022 at the Broadway Commerce Center. The Disco Halloween Extravaganza at Whirled Pies was a huge Thriller success and an Alien themed fundraiser at Old Nicks Tavern was so awesome! We are looking forward to a great Ugly Sweater event on December 16th to wrap up 2022. The Social Skills group and Peer Support group are meeting in person again. And the STiLE (Skill Training for an Independent Living Experience) program is growing, too!

How grateful I am to share in your joy of seeing each other face to face again.

Yes, there is hope.
