Welcome to the KindTree Autism Rocks Forum! This is a safe, inclusive, and supportive space for autistic individuals, allies, and advocates to connect, share, and learn. To keep this space positive and respectful, we ask all members to follow these Community Guidelines.
🔹 1. Be Respectful & Inclusive
Treat all members with kindness and respect—everyone’s experiences are valid.
No hate speech, slurs, or discrimination based on autism, disability, gender, race, religion, or identity.
Avoid ableist language (e.g., “high-functioning” vs. “low-functioning” labels).
🔹 2. Support, Not Judgment
This is a space for encouragement and learning, not criticism.
Avoid questioning someone’s diagnosis or experience—autism presents differently in everyone.
Disagree respectfully—if a discussion gets heated, step back before responding.
🔹 3. No Misinformation or Harmful Narratives
No “cures” for autism—we celebrate neurodiversity, and harmful therapies (like “detox” or “chelation”) are not allowed.
Medical discussions should be evidence-based (avoid promoting unverified treatments).
If unsure, ask for trusted resources instead of making assumptions.
🔹 4. No Harassment, Bullying, or Trolling
No personal attacks, name-calling, or targeting individuals.
No excessive negativity—we welcome open discussions but not personal vendettas.
If you feel unsafe, report the issue to a moderator.
🔹 5. Protect Mental Health & Safety
Sensitive topics (e.g., self-harm, trauma) should be shared with care. If you or someone else is in crisis, reach out to professionals.
Avoid graphic descriptions of distress—we support each other, but we are not crisis counselors.
If you’re struggling, visit our Community Resources Page for crisis lines and professional help.
🔹 6. No Spam, Scams, or Self-Promotion
No pyramid schemes, MLMs, or "miracle cures."
No unsolicited fundraising links—if you have a cause, ask for permission before posting.
If you see a scam, report it immediately.
🔹 7. Keep Discussions On-Topic
Posts should align with autism, advocacy, events, and community-building.
Off-topic posts (e.g., politics, religion) should be framed in a way that relates to autism.
Memes and lighthearted content are welcome, but avoid spam or excessive off-topic posts.
🔹 8. Moderation & Enforcement
If a post breaks the rules, moderators may remove it or request edits.
Repeated violations may result in temporary bans or removal from the community.
If you have a concern, message a moderator privately—we’re here to help!
🚀 Thank you for being part of KindTree Autism Rocks! Let’s make this a supportive and welcoming space for all.
