Mary Minn's Stim Pages

Mary-Minn Sirag is KindTree’s longest serving President, joining the Board of Directors in 2000 and elected President in 2001. During her many years of service she was the public face of KindTree, appearing on the local news, participating in KindTree’s peer support groups and art shows, making every guest feel comfortable at the Friends & Family Camp, so many things… And for sharing her perspective and experience as a person living with autism.
These “STIM Page” stories tell the story of her life on the autism spectrum – it’s struggles, joys, and quirks. Her STIM Pages were the heart and soul of KindTree’s “Reaching Out – Reaching In” newsletter, a publication that began as a handout to service agencies and grew to have over 3,000 thrice yearly readers. To many of them, her articles gave inspiration, understanding, and the recognition that all of us are in this together, that all of us struggle in one way or another to be the best we can be, and, as our mission statement says, that “through the power of self-advocacy in an atmosphere of acceptance and respect, autistic and neuro-normal people alike can work toward self-realization.”
Mary-Minn continues to volunteer in 2025 with KindTree, at events and camp. She’s not done yet! We are so glad she is still with us. Enjoy these pages. They are great reading!
