From the Studio to the Gallery Scholarships
KindTree - Autism Rocks again received a grant from Lane Arts Council for our Studio to the Gallery program for 2011 (thank you!). These funds will allow us to again offer ART GRANTS to a few artists. The application is here – the deadline is December 1st, 2010
Recipients will receive a scholarship for an art class or tutor, or assistance in purchasing materials, and will be required to submit a form listing all money spent after purchase of materials or services, with receipts attached.
Grant recipients will be expected to produce at least one submission to the "Autism Artism 2011" Gallery Exhibition, due by Feb 1, 2011, for potential display TBA.
Autism Artism 2010
KindTree will be accepting submissions for Autism Artism 2011 during January 2011. Application here.
Store Front Exhibition
KindTree - Autism Rocks is grateful to Stephanie Seubert at Evans, Elder and Brown, Inc. for facilitating this opportunity. The vacant gallery and frame shop, La Follette Gallery, at 931 Oak St will be the venue for an exhibition of KindTree - Autism Rocks Art Show for an undetermined amount of time. This is a great opportunity to see some terrific work by artists with autism - just by walking down the street! So if you are visiting LILA’s peer support center just up the block take a moment to look at the art we offer. It’s awesome.
