Spanish Support Forum

This event is designed to support the formation of a Spanish speaking Parents in Action group for parents of developmentally disabled children.

Such a group could be supported in an ongoing way through the Arc Families Connected Program.

Flyers, posters, and invitations will go out in mid-February for this RSVP event. Download one here.

Included will be childcare, a meal from El Rey Mexican Restaurant, and entertainment. But the main attraction is Susana Ramirez and her parent group. They will share their success at empowering parents through their group and achieving better services for their children.

Free bus passes are available.

The event will be in Spanish and there is no charge. There will be interpretation for English speakers.

Panel de padres líderes, quienes compartirán cómo sus experiencias, al tomar acción y abogar por los derechos de sus hijos, para tener una vida plena, los ha llevado a encontrar el poder en sí mismos. El panel será moderado por Susana Ramírez, defensora con Derechos de Discapacidad Oregon y madre de un jóven con autismo.
