KindTree is dedicated to serving and celebrating the Autism Community through art, education, and recreation. With warm hearted whimsy, an open sense of family and a deep level of caring, we reach inside ourselves to embrace our flaws, gather our strengths, and offer our love while reaching out to people with autism spectrum disorders, their families and care givers. Through the power of self-advocacy in an atmosphere of acceptance and respect, autistic and neuro-normal people alike can work toward self- realization.

"AUTISM ARTISM 2008"

KindTree is receiving original art for jurying for the "Autism Artism 2008" gallery show.
"autism Artism 2008" is now scheduled for June 14 - July 18 at the LCC Art Gallery . And we'd like you to enter to be in it. To learn more about the show, visit last year's display page here. This is a great opportunity, and great fun, plus you will make some money.

KindTree's Autism Rocks Traveling Art Show features all mediums of artistc expression. We can scan your paintings or other visual creations. We can print short stories or poetry, photographs and images of your sculptures or weavings, create flash versions of your video and audio productoions. We can post these things on this website for all the world to enjoy.

And we may be able to help you earn some money.

In 2007, KindTree wrote checks totaling over $2000 to artists with autism. We pay our artists 50% of all our gross sales amounts, less venue commision. This is a great deal! Artists pay nothing up front - no production expenses or promotional fees at all. Nada.

Submission Deadline Extended
- April 1, 2008

How to Submit Art or Written Word:

1. Put your art in a big envelope (you won't get it back from us, though) and send it to: KindTree, 2096 1/2 Arthur St, Eugene, Or 97405.

2. Or e-mail a digitized version (scan your art work) to art@kindtree.org. We'll respond promptly.

Questions? Call 541 521 7208.

We market notecards, prints and postcards and other larger items at various local retail outlets and events here in Lane County, Oregon, including the wonderful Art & the Vineyard event on July 4th weekend. This event alone brought in over $800 in sales - and showed the community what people with autism can do!

We also offer for sale notecards, postcards and prints on the web, right here, that you can purchase with your credit card.

Our artists range in age from 4 years old to 55. The images include abstract art, beach photographs, paintings of cats, flowers, etc., computer drawings, pencil "scribbles". The graphics team at GreyWolf Projects volunteer their time to create borders and other enhancing techniques that highlight and accent the beauty of your artwork. People love the results.

Why not submit something to KindTree today?

THANKS!
